The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) and the host Frankfort Falcons (Ridgeley, WV), observed Mountain Ridge's basketball team overcome Frankfort by a score of 48-29.

The Miners (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD). The Sentinels come into the Appalachian Mountain challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Fort Hill dropped by Southern (Oakland, MD), 64-25, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Pendleton County Wildcat (Franklin, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 5. Frankfort will attempt to improve on its 1-13 season record. The Wildcat come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 62-26 league win over Harman (Harman, WV).
