In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Hominy Bucks basketball team scored a close 38-37 win over the Stuart Hornets.
The Bucks (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against Varnum (Seminole, OK). The Whippets come into the non-league contest with a 14-7 record. In their last contest, Varnum edged Deer Creek-Lamont (Lamont, OK), 45-12, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Kiowa Cowboys (Kiowa, OK) in a Pittsburg Eight contest, on Thursday, February 6. Stuart will attempt to better on its 8-13 season record. The Cowboys come into the contest with a 12-5 record after their 55-39 league win over Canadian (Canadian, OK).
