The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Merion Mercy Academy Golden Bears (Merion Station, PA) and the visiting Jenkintown Drakes (Jenkintown, PA), observed Merion Mercy Academy's basketball team overwhelm Jenkintown by a score of 39-14.
The Golden Bears (6-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Sacred Heart Academy (Bryn Mawr, PA). The Lions come into the Catholic Academies challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, Sacred Heart Academy trounced Delaware County Christian (Newtown Square, PA), 52-48, in a non-league challenge.
