West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Northwest Webster Cougars (Manson, IA), 50-45 in a league match.

With the victory, West Bend-Mallard advances its record to 15-5 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA) to meet the Indians in a Twin Lakes match on Friday, February 7. The Indians enter the match with a record of 14-5.

The Cougars now own a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Central Calhoun for a Twin Lakes match on Friday, February 7. Northwest Webster will meet a Titans squad coming off a 84-16 league win over Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA). The Titans record now stands at 8-10.
