West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), 35-19 in a non-league match.

With the victory, West Carteret advances its record to 8-1 on the year. The Patriots travel to Richlands (Richlands, NC) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Friday, February 7. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 1-10. Richlands lost 29-26 in their recent non-league match against White Oak (Jacksonville, NC)

The Bulldogs now own a 0-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Croatan for a non-league match on Wednesday, February 5. Dixon will face a Cougars squad coming off a 37-28 non-league win over Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 8-0.
