The Mustangs now hold a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Juarez-Lincoln for a 5A Region 4 District 30 bout on Tuesday, February 11. Nixon will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Rio Grande City moves to 3-9 on the year. The Rattlers host Mission (Mission, TX) to encounter the Eagles in a 5A Region 4 District 30 bout on Friday, February 7. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Mission lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Palmview (La Joya, TX)
