In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Smithfield Sentinels basketball team scored a good 63-43 triumph over the Cumberland Clippers.

The Sentinels (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Blackstone Valley Prep (Cumberland, RI). The PRIDE go into the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Blackstone Valley Prep was toppled by Scituate (North Scituate, RI), 33-28, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Clippers confront the Classical Purple (Providence, RI) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Cumberland will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record.
