Nebraska High School Basketball - Cross County trounces High Plains

February 5, 2022: Polk, NE 68654

The Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE) basketball crushed the host High Plains Storm (Polk, NE), 44-22 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cougars (16-6) will now prepare for their test against East Butler (Brainard, NE). The Tigers go into the D1 District 5 test with a 10-10 record. In their last test, East Butler walloped High Plains (Polk, NE), 41-33, in a league test.

The Storm now own a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Osceola for a D2 District 3 test on Tuesday, February 8. High Plains will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 63-29 non-league loss to Meridian (Daykin, NE). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-9.
