Niskayuna Silver Warriors (Niskayuna, NY) backers were in high spirits Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), 50-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Niskayuna upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Silver Warriors travel to Ballston Spa (Ballston Spa, NY) to play the Scotties in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Scotties go into the bout with a record of 16-1. Ballston Spa won 80-61 in their recent league bout against Albany (Albany, NY)

Next up, the Goldbacks play the Warwick Wildcats (Warwick, NY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Newburgh Free Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 65-61 league loss to Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY).
