Mercy Jaguars (Louisville, KY) backers were in high spirits Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Assumption Rockets (Louisville, KY), 73-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mercy upgrades its record to 18-8 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Sacred Heart (Louisville, KY) to play the Valkyries in a non-league bout on Sunday, February 12. The Valkyries go into the bout with a record of 24-3.

Next up, the Rockets play the Butler Bears (Louisville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Assumption will attempt to upgrade on its 18-7 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 65-25 league win over Western (Louisville, KY).
