Bishop Hendricken Hawks (Warwick, RI) fans left the game thrilled Sunday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the visiting Greenwich Cardinals (Greenwich, CT), 5-1 in a non-league match.
The Hawks (12-4) will now prepare for their match against Pope Francis Prep (Springfield, MA). The Cardinals enter the non-league match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Pope Francis Prep held off Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI), 6-1, in a non-league match.
Next up, the Cardinals encounter the Darien Blue Wave (Darien, CT) in a FCIAC match, on Wednesday, February 8. Greenwich will attempt to advance on its 5-10 season record. The Blue Wave enter the match with a 9-3 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to La Salle Academy (Providence, RI).
