In Monday's non-league outing, the AGWSR Cougars (Ackley, IA) basketball squad edged the visiting Colo-NESCO Royals (Colo, IA), by a count of 42-40.
The Cougars (4-16) will now prepare for their outing against East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Mustangs go into the North Iowa Cedar - West outing with a 5-14 record. In their last outing, East Marshall held off GMG (Garwin, IA), 84-71, in a non-league outing.
The Royals now hold a 11-9 record. They play next when they host Gladbrook-Reinbeck for a non-league outing on Friday, February 9. Colo-NESCO will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 48-39 non-league win over Columbus (Waterloo, IA). The Rebels record now stands at 17-4.
