Annandale Cardinals (Annandale, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN), 57-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Annandale upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Watertown-Mayer (Watertown, MN) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Watertown-Mayer lost 78-72 in their recent non-league bout against Glencoe-Silver Lake (Glencoe, MN)

Next up, the Dutchmen play the Litchfield Dragons (Litchfield, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Melrose will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 5-15 record after their 47-42 non-league win over Rockford (Rockford, MN).
