Seymour Indians (Payson, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Beardstown Tigers (Beardstown, IL), 59-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Seymour upgrades its record to 12-16 on the season. The Indians travel to West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] (Winchester, IL) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 24-3. West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] won 59-54 in their recent non-league bout against Quincy Notre Dame (Quincy, IL)

Next up, the Tigers play the Pittsfield Saukees (Pittsfield, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Beardstown will attempt to upgrade on its 18-8 season record. The Saukees go into the bout with a 17-8 record after their 50-34 non-league loss to Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL).
