The Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers (Bridgewater, NJ) basketball nipped the host Somerville Pioneers (Somerville, NJ), 51-45 in Monday's non-league test.
The Panthers (9-13) will now prepare for their test against Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, NJ). The Stateliners go into the Skyland - Raritan test with a 18-1 record. In their last test, Phillipsburg got by Warren Hills Regional (Washington, NJ), 64-50, in a non-league test.
The Pioneers now own a 9-12 record. They play next when they host The Pingry School for a Freelance test on Tuesday, February 6. Somerville will encounter a Big Blue squad coming off a 53-42 non-league win over Lawrenceville School (Lawrenceville, NJ). The Big Blue record now stands at 13-4.
