Onaway Cardinals (Onaway, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Brimley Bays (Brimley, MI), 91-80 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Onaway upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Cardinals host St. Mary Cathedral (Gaylord, MI) to play the Snowbirds in a Ski-Valley bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Snowbirds go into the bout with a record of 11-5. St. Mary Cathedral won 45-44 in their recent non-league bout against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, MI)

Next up, the Bays play the Manistique Emeralds (Manistique, MI) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Brimley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Emeralds go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 61-41 non-league loss to Gladstone (Gladstone, MI).
