Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Edinburg Wildcats (Edinburg, IL), 80-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Clinton upgrades its record to 23-4 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Warrensburg-Latham (Warrensburg, IL) to play the Cardinals in a Central Illinois bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 16-9. Warrensburg-Latham lost 62-40 in their recent non-league bout against Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Tri-City Tornadoes (Buffalo, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Edinburg will attempt to upgrade on its 14-14 season record.
