Elverado Falcons (Elkville, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Thompsonville (Thompsonville, IL), 58-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elverado upgrades its record to 12-17 on the season. The Falcons travel to Galatia (Galatia, IL) to play the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 16-10. Galatia won 83-41 in their recent non-league bout against Joppa-Maple Grove (Joppa, IL)

Next up, the play the Gallatin County Hawks (Junction, IL) in a Greater Egyptian bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Thompsonville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-24 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 12-15 record after their 48-37 non-league loss to Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL).
