Ferndale Eagles (Ferndale, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Fitzgerald Spartans (Warren, MI), 69-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ferndale upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to North Farmington (Farmington Hills, MI) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 14-2. North Farmington lost 61-42 in their recent non-league bout against West Bloomfield (West Bloomfield, MI)

Next up, the Spartans play the South Lake Cavaliers (St. Clair Shores, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Fitzgerald will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 65-55 non-league loss to Eastpointe (Eastpointe, MI).
