Riverdale Chieftains (Muscoda, WI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Kickapoo Panthers (Viola, WI), 58-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Riverdale upgrades its record to 7-12 on the season. The Chieftains host Fennimore (Fennimore, WI) to clash with the Golden Eagles in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities bout on Thursday, February 8. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-17. Fennimore lost 71-50 in their recent non-league bout against Westby (Westby, WI)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets (Wauzeka, WI) in a Ridge & Valley bout, on Thursday, February 8. Kickapoo will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 55-45 non-league loss to Richland Center (Richland Center, WI).
