Moulton-Udell Eagles (Moulton, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Tri-County Trojans (Thornburg, IA), 75-67 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Moulton-Udell upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to Twin Cedars (Bussey, IA) to play the Sabers in a Bluegrass bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Sabers go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Twin Cedars lost 87-50 in their recent non-league bout against Chariton (Chariton, IA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks (Colfax, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Tri-County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-19 season record. The Tigerhawks go into the bout with a 5-14 record after their 50-43 non-league loss to Baxter (Baxter, IA).
