In Monday's non-league outing, the Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM) basketball squad beat the host Raton Tigers (Raton, NM), by a margin of 56-48.
The Panthers (14-8) will now prepare for their outing against Texico (Texico, NM). The Wolverines go into the 2A District 6 outing with a 11-10 record. In their last outing, Texico defeated Tatum (Tatum, NM), 67-25, in a non-league outing.
The Tigers now own a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to Robertson for a 3A District 2 outing on Wednesday, February 7. Raton will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 74-36 non-league win over Moriarty (Moriarty, NM). The Cardinals record now stands at 18-1.
