Illinois High School Basketball - Providence Catholic thwarts Southland College Prep

The Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) basketball beat the visiting Southland College Prep (Matteson, IL), 61-43 in Monday's non-league outing.

The Celtics (11-12) will now prepare for their outing against Marmion (Aurora, IL). The Cadets go into the Chicago Catholic - White outing with a 12-15 record. In their last outing, Marmion defeated Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL), 50-48, in a non-league outing.

The now own a 9-15 record. They play next when they travel to Proviso West for a non-league outing on Wednesday, February 7. Southland College Prep will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 90-66 league loss to Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 8-17.
