The Avon Falcons basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Wethersfield Eagles to 27 in the Falcons non-league victory on Monday.
The Falcons now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwest Catholic for a Central Connecticut - West Colonial contest on Tuesday, February 6. Avon will battle a Lions team coming off a 67-24 non-league win over Wethersfield (Wethersfield, CT). The Lions record now stands at 13-3.
The Eagles (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Newington (Newington, CT). The Nor'easters come into the Central Connecticut - North Colonial contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Newington prevailed over Sheehan (Wallingford, CT), 46-44, in a non-league contest.
