West Virginia High School Basketball - James Monroe ripped by Gilmer County

February 5, 2024: Glenville, WV 26351

The Gilmer County Titans basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting James Monroe Mavericks to 33 in the Titans non-league triumph on Monday.

The Titans now sport a 18-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tucker County for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 7. Gilmer County will meet a Mountain Lions team coming off a 52-46 non-league win over Grafton (Grafton, WV). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 13-4.

The Mavericks (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Greenbrier East triumphed over Mingo Central (Matewan, WV), 69-57, in a non-league contest.
