The Hartford Hurricanes basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Green Mountain Chieftains to 24 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Monday.
The Hurricanes now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount Anthony for a Marble Valley - A contest on Thursday, February 8. Hartford will battle a Patriots team coming off a 56-31 non-league loss to Fair Haven (Fair Haven, VT). The Patriots record now stands at 2-12.
The Chieftains (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Bellows Falls (Bellows Falls, VT). The Terriers enter the Marble Valley - C contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Bellows Falls triumphed over Woodstock (Woodstock, VT), 59-28, in a league contest.
