Iowa High School Basketball - Independence tipped by Oelwein

The Oelwein Huskies basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Independence Mustangs to 48 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Monday.
The Huskies now sport a 9-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waukon for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 10. Oelwein will meet a Indians team coming off a 69-44 non-league win over Charles City (Charles City, IA). The Indians record now stands at 13-8.
The Mustangs (3-17) will now prepare for their contest against Solon (Solon, IA). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 17-3 record. In their last contest, Solon nudged West Delaware (Manchester, IA), 72-36, in a league contest.
