Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Woodstock Blue Streaks (Woodstock, IL), 54-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 12-16 on the season. The J-Hawks host Hononegah (Rockton, IL) to play the Indians in a Northern Illinois 10 bout on Thursday, February 8. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 26-4. Hononegah won 70-20 in their recent league bout against Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL)

Next up, the Blue Streaks play the Woodstock North Thunder (Woodstock, IL) in a Kishwaukee River bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Woodstock will attempt to upgrade on its 15-10 season record.
