Licking Wildcats (Licking, MO) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Newburg Wolves (Newburg, MO), 54-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Licking upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Wildcats host Salem (Salem, MO) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Salem lost 57-21 in their recent non-league bout against Cuba (Cuba, MO)

Next up, the Wolves play the Belle Tigers (Belle, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Newburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 12-9 record after their 41-34 league win over Viburnum (Viburnum, MO).
