The Newtown Nighthawks basketball squad scored 31 points and limited the host New Fairfield Rebels to 27 in the Nighthawks league win on Monday.

With the win, Newtown upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Nighthawks host Masuk (Monroe, CT) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 8. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 15-3. Masuk won 66-55 in their recent non-league bout against Stratford (Stratford, CT)

Next up, the Rebels clash with the New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) in a Southwest - Patriot bout, on Thursday, February 8. New Fairfield will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Green Wave go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 41-37 league win over Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT).
