Newton Local Indians (Pleasant Hill, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Stivers School for the Arts Tigers (Dayton, OH), 52-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newton Local upgrades its record to 10-10 on the season. The Indians travel to National Trail (New Paris, OH) to play the Blazers in a Western Ohio bout on Thursday, February 8. The Blazers go into the bout with a record of 7-13. National Trail won 55-17 in their recent non-league bout against East Dayton Christian (Dayton, OH)

Next up, the Tigers play the Middletown Christian Eagles (Franklin, OH) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Stivers School for the Arts will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record.
