The Southwest Valley basketball team (Corning, IA), was nudged 49-47 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Red Oak Tigers (Red Oak, IA)
The Tigers now sport a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shenandoah for a Hawkeye Ten battle on Thursday, February 8. Red Oak will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 43-35 league loss to Clarinda (Clarinda, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-10.
The (2-16) will now prepare for their battle against Fremont-Mills (Tabor, IA). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 21-0 record. In their last battle, Fremont-Mills edged Griswold (Griswold, IA), 63-29, in a non-league battle.
