The Paul VI Panthers basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Archbishop Carroll Lions to 62 in the Panthers league triumph on Monday.
The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Mary's Ryken for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 6. Paul VI will battle a Knights team coming off a 68-63 non-league loss to Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC). The Knights record now stands at 0-2.
The Lions (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cadets enter the contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, St. John's ran past Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC), 68-53, in a league contest.
