La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI), 64-60 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, La Salle Academy upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Rams host East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI) to play the Avengers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Avengers come into the bout with a record of 2-9. East Greenwich lost 42-38 in their recent non-league bout against Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI)

Next up, the Sentinels play the Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Smithfield will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record.
