New York High School Basketball - Saranac thwarts AuSable Valley

February 5, 2025: Saranac, NY 12981

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Saranac Spartans (Saranac, NY) and the visiting AuSable Valley Patriots (Clintonville, NY), observed Saranac's basketball team knock off AuSable Valley by a score of 46-26.

The Spartans (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Peru (Peru, NY). The Nighthawks come into the Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge with a 1-15 record. In their last challenge, Peru dropped by Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY), 50-46, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Ticonderoga Sentinels (Ticonderoga, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II challenge, on Friday, February 7. AuSable Valley will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Sentinels come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 62-30 league loss to Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY).
