The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Berrien Springs Shamrocks (Berrien Springs, MI) and the visiting Sturgis Trojans (Sturgis, MI), observed Berrien Springs's basketball team overcome Sturgis by a margin of 59-44.

The Shamrocks (14-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Dowagiac (Dowagiac, MI). The Chieftains come into the non-league challenge with a 1-14 record. In their last challenge, Dowagiac dropped by Three Rivers (Three Rivers, MI), 61-36, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Niles Vikings (Niles, MI) in a Wolverine B challenge, on Friday, February 7. Sturgis will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 76-71 non-league loss to Benton Harbor (Benton Harbor, MI).
