In Wednesday's non-league test, the Iron Mountain Mountaineers (Iron Mountain, MI) basketball squad trounced the host Calumet Copper Kings (Calumet, MI), by a score of 67-26.
Next, the Mountaineers encounter the Gwinn Modeltowners (Gwinn, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula test, on Friday, February 7. Iron Mountain will attempt to improve on its 15-2 season record. The Modeltowners come into the test with a 6-9 record after their 62-17 non-league win over Hancock (Hancock, MI).
The Copper Kings (11-6) will now prepare for their test against West Iron County (Iron River, MI). The Wykons come into the Western Peninsula test with a 2-13 record.
