In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Parris Prep Academy Panthers basketball team scored a close 70-63 triumph over the Charlotte Elite Academy Soldiers.

The Panthers (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Davidson Day (Davidson, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league contest with a 20-12 record. In their last contest, Davidson Day nipped Ambassador Christian School (Huntersville, NC), 60-41, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Soldiers battle the Central Carolina Prep Defenders (Burlington, NC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 8. Charlotte Elite Academy will attempt to better on its 8-10 season record. The Defenders go into the contest with a 5-17 record after their 67-65 non-league loss to Discovery Charter School (Bahama, NC).
