The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) and the host Fleming County Panthers (Flemingsburg, KY), observed Montgomery County's basketball team edge Fleming County by a score of 82-75.

The Indians (15-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Bourbon County (Paris, KY). The Colonels come into the District 40 challenge with a 8-11 record. In their last challenge, Bourbon County edged Paris (Paris, KY), 70-61, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Menifee County Wildcats (Frenchburg, KY) in a District 61 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Fleming County will attempt to improve on its 15-8 season record.
