The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Tiverton Tigers (Tiverton, RI) and the host Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI), observed Tiverton's basketball team knock off Johnston by a score of 62-42.

The Tigers (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Coventry (Coventry, RI). The Oakers come into the Division II challenge with a 8-11 record. In their last challenge, Coventry was knocked off by Cumberland (Cumberland, RI), 40-38, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI) in a Division II challenge, on Friday, February 7. Johnston will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Townies come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 55-32 league loss to Narragansett (Narragansett, RI).
