The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the St. Catherine of Siena Academy Athletes (Wixom, MI) and the visiting Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI), observed St. Catherine of Siena Academy's basketball team knock off Lakeland by a score of 51-40.
The Athletes (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Seaholm (Birmingham, MI). The Maples come into the non-league challenge with a 11-5 record. In their last challenge, Seaholm prevailed over Bloomfield Hills (Bloomfield Hills, MI), 38-36, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI) in a Lakes Valley challenge, on Friday, February 7. Lakeland will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record.
