In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Northmor Golden Knights basketball team scored a close 47-41 triumph over the Mapleton Mounties.

The Golden Knights (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Mohawk (Sycamore, OH). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 3-16 record. In their last contest, Mohawk was tipped by McComb (McComb, OH), 57-33, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mounties battle the Monroeville Eagles (Monroeville, OH) in a Firelands contest, on Friday, February 7. Mapleton will attempt to better on its 16-5 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 13-8 record after their 67-53 non-league loss to Mansfield Christian (Mansfield, OH).
