In Wednesday's league contest, the host Meadowbrook Colts basketball team scored a close 46-44 triumph over the River View Black Bears.

The Colts (4-17) will now prepare for their contest against Morgan (McConnelsville, OH). The Raiders go into the Muskingum Valley contest with a 9-10 record. In their last contest, Morgan nipped River View (Warsaw, OH), 64-56, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Black Bears battle the Crooksville Ceramics (Crooksville, OH) in a Muskingum Valley contest, on Saturday, February 8. River View will attempt to better on its 5-16 season record. The Ceramics go into the contest with a 6-15 record after their 58-16 league loss to Sheridan (Thornville, OH).
