The Deep Run Wildcats (Glen Allen, VA) basketball edged the host Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), 62-61 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Godwin for a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. Deep Run will play a Eagles team coming off a 71-30 non-league win over Prince George (Prince George, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Western Branch falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Grassfield lost 54-44 in their recent non-league bout against Indian River (Chesapeake, VA)
