The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Standley Lake Gators (Westminster, CO) and the host Evergreen Cougars (Evergreen, CO), observed Standley Lake's basketball team knock off Evergreen by a score of 48-39.

The Gators (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Conifer (Conifer, CO). The Lobos come into the challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Conifer dropped by Wheat Ridge (Wheat Ridge, CO), 40-31, in a league bout.

With the loss, Evergreen falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Dakota Ridge (Littleton, CO) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Dakota Ridge won 48-19 in their recent non-league bout against Pomona (Arvada, CO)
