In Monday's non-league outing, the Forest Hills Rangers (Sidman, PA) basketball squad felled the host North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA), by a margin of 59-49.

The Rangers (10-8) will now prepare for their outing against Somerset (Somerset, PA). The Eagles go into the Laurel Highlands outing with a 3-15 record. In their last outing, Somerset was beaten by Westmont Hilltop (Johnstown, PA), 80-52, in a league outing.

The Cougars now own a 13-8 record. They play next when they travel to Conemaugh Township for a Western Pennsylvania - Northern outing on Wednesday, February 8. North Star will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 53-39 league win over Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA). The Indians record now stands at 13-6.
