The Pomperaug Panthers basketball team (Southbury, CT), was nudged 45-38 in Monday's league battle with the host New Fairfield Rebels (New Fairfield, CT)

The Rebels now possess a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brookfield for a Southwest battle on Thursday, February 9. New Fairfield will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 83-48 league loss to Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT). The Bobcats record now stands at 13-4.

The Panthers (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Joel Barlow (Redding, CT). The Falcons come into the Southwest battle with a 3-14 record. In their last battle, Joel Barlow was nudged by Newtown (Newtown, CT), 54-37, in a league battle.
