The Stonington Bears basketball team (Stonington, CT), was toppled 68-58 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT)
The Lions now possess a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tourtellotte for a Eastern Connecticut IV battle on Friday, February 10. Wheeler will confront a Tigers team coming off a 72-58 non-league loss to Killingly (Killingly, CT). The Tigers record now stands at 3-13.
The Bears (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Waterford (Waterford, CT). The Lancers come into the Eastern Connecticut II battle with a 5-12 record. In their last battle, Waterford was toppled by Fitch (Groton, CT), 46-34, in a non-league battle.
