Valley Lutheran Chargers (Saginaw, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Unionville-Sebewaing Patriots (Sebewaing, MI), 47-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Valley Lutheran upgrades its record to 3-13 on the season. The Chargers travel to St. Louis (St. Louis, MI) to clash with the Sharks in a Tri-Valley - West bout on Friday, February 10. The Sharks go into the bout with a record of 5-9. St. Louis lost 52-48 in their recent league bout against Bullock Creek (Midland, MI)

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Caro Tigers (Caro, MI) in a Greater Thumb - West bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Unionville-Sebewaing will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 85-36 league win over Vassar (Vassar, MI).
