The Kimball/White Lake Wildkats basketball team (Kimball, SD), was nudged 59-57 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Avon Pirates (Avon, SD)

The Pirates now possess a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tripp-Delmont/Armour for a B Region 5 battle on Thursday, February 9. Avon will confront a Nighthawks team coming off a 71-29 non-league loss to Wagner (Wagner, SD). The Nighthawks record now stands at 7-9.

The Wildkats (8-8) will now prepare for their battle against Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD). The Jaguars come into the non-league battle with a 9-7 record. In their last battle, Corsica/Stickney edged Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (Forestburg, SD), 54-23, in a non-league battle.
